July 21, 2007 – August 30, 2020 My sweet girl Sienna was my best friend, my confidant, my buddy …. the Dog of My Heart. She was beside me the first time I moved out of state on my own. She was there for me while I made my way through school. And when other relationships faltered and ended, she was there beside me, my steady companion and confidant. She was a tough cookie. She showed me what it means to persevere, to push on. And she taught me what true patience looks like, what true love is, and what it means to be a best friend. Sienna loved food, especially popcorn!! Oh, and beef jerky too. She loved the snow, especially the dirty compacted stuff in the middle of the street. She loved to roll in dead stuff (eat it too) and cow poop. She loved her walks, especially when she could be off leash. She wasn’t a big fan of cuddling, but I smothered her anyway. She loved me. And I loved her — I love her still. I miss my girl, but it’s only “see you later”, not “goodbye”.
