Grant called me one day in 2005 and told me a coworker had a four month old boxer they needed to get rid of and they would probably take her to the humane society. I was pregnant with our second child and we already had two dogs so I told him to not dare bring a puppy home. He showed up on the door step with her anyway and of course I fell in love immediately. She was instantly a part of the family and has been through it all with us. She was the black sheep of the group as all our other dogs have been German Shorthaired Pointers, but she fit right in ( well, excpet she loved to bark way more then them!!) She loved to play with the kids and other dogs and was pretty much every visitors favorite once she stopped barking at them ( which would happen when you would pet here…she just wanted the attention!) I always felt safe with Sofie around even though she wouldn’t hurt a fly. She was definitely our protector. She will be missed greatly and we know she is finally able to play ball again with all her friends in heaven. The picture is her huddled in the middle of all her people and dogs…her family. We love you Sofie girl
