My Sweet Sophie was actually rescued from a local breeder. She had been used as breeding stock in between being shuffled to a couple of possible forever homes, only to be sent back to the breeder & put into a concrete & metal gated cage again. She was in that situation for a year and a half until a friend told me about her. We took her home, with lots of quirks due to the abuse endured at the hands of the Breeder, the Husband & son. Sophie had a broken K9 on her bottom teeth, a split on her right ear, extra skin flap under her chin where she was bitten & no medical care. At my Vet to be spayed she found a Hernia. She was so scared I stole my moms Golden to help her learn how to be a dog & know we are safe. That kinda worked, but we had to buy her a friend, so we got her Buddy, it worked. They camped, walked/run & played hard. Buddy died in 2019, so its just been her & the cat. Sophie left us just 1 day before her 14th Birthday. We miss her so very much!! God Bless her!!
