Suka, her name in eskimo meaning: “very fast. This pooch has an unnatural amount of warmth, and kindness. This girl hates not having something to do”. We never knew how fitting the name Suka would be when we brought her home as a puppy. We soon learned even at a very young age that she was indeed fast and hated not having something to do. She was also the boss of everyone, and was very serious and had little time for fun, like chasing a ball. What we noticed most of all though was her warmth and kindness that she had for people young and old. It was just Suka and her sister Kaya for almost 8 years until we brought home our son. Suka took on the role of protector. She would do her nightly checks in his room and was sure to let us know when he was crying with a howl loud enough to here over a babies cry. Suka had many adventures in her 12 years of life but if I were to speak for her none were as important as her family that she took very good care of right till the end.
