Takota, our huggable Alaskan Malamute, was our friend and family companion for 12 years. Even though he is no longer with us in physical form we still know his presence and are blessed with the countless memories of how he enriched our lives. We remember the day we went to pick him out (or did he pick us out?) among all the other fluffy puppies. Ali said “ this one” and so the journey began. There were tons of fun and laughter as our children grew up with him. We have many great memories of the hikes we all took as a family in the foothills of Boulder and how he loved walking the trails with us. There were the times he pulled Zack on his sled in the snow. The laughter that would breakout as he played with Zack on the floor, pulling at his pants leg and almost pulling Zack’s pants right off. We marveled how he never barked but howled instead and how fun it was to get him started. He loved to take rides in the car with his big head out the window. There are no words that can adequately express our time together. Suffice it to say, we will be forever grateful for the gift that you were in our lives and that we love you and miss you. Until that time when we will be together again we will keep you always in our hearts.
