Sunday, May 3rd 2015 was the hardest day of my life in saying good-bye to Tasha, my best friend for the last 15yrs. She was the absolute center of my life and I’m sooo thankful for such an incredible experience. She taught me about love, patience, sacrifice & priorities. It was so simple to experience life with such resolve about where she stood in my priorities: she was number one. When I met my wife, she fell in love with Tasha and the rest is history. Tasha was such a beautiful animal with a wonderful personality that it was really hard for me to accept that she would perish. The last year of her life she taught me about tenacity: she was fighting two types of cancers, a torn ACL and a recent bout with Vestibular Syndrome. Thru all of this she still found the energy and happiness to swim for hours, take walks several times a day, and give lots and lots of kisses to those that she loved. She finally succumb to another cancer that only took 3 weeks to put her in enough discomfort for us to make a tough call. Ending her pain is truly the beginning of our pain and learning to live without her has been a painful process. I will never be the same…….and I’m happy to admit it, she was that special. Good bye my baby girl, your love was precious, you changed me forever and I sure hope to see you on the other side!!
