My dearest little furry friend,
You brought so much pleasure in to our lives for 19 years. I remember you going in to the shower your first morning with us. As a puppy you would bite off the white heads of dandelions. You would tunnel thru the snow, using your nose as a plow. You would lie down while we were walking. I saw a Shih Tzu on a dog show and it laid down in the middle of its walk and we just laughed. You recovered from 2 cancer surgeries and several teeth extractions. You always licked my toes and feet, even under the covers where you crawled to get warm. In your later years as you went blind and became deaf you needed more assistance, which I was willing to give. You were very patient with your eye drops 4 or 5 times a day and took your pills in your food without complaining. You ended up spending the last couple years of your life on the bed as you couldn’t see to get around and bumped into everything. You would bark when you needed to go outside and we would carry you out and then back in. It got very difficult for you towards the end when the snow would become icy and you would fall down. You never complained. I can’t tell you how much I loved you and miss you. Your forever friends.
