My Scouty Boy

Scout was my very best friend and companion, and I miss him terribly. When Scout first came into my life, he was a playful 4-week-old puppy my sister’s dog had just had. I remember the moment I saw him; he ran straight to me and licked my toes. He had floppy ears and a tiny little, dachshund body. The next time I saw him he was a few weeks older but the same thing happened. He ran straight to me and wanted me to pick him up. I was so adamant that I did NOT want a puppy, but he was the absolute sweetest little boy, and I could not say no. Besides, HE picked ME! Scout just turned 13 in August and I am so very grateful for those years with him. He was diagnosed with a harsh disease in 2022 that he fought so hard until the end! Thankfully he was in remission the last year and a half, and we had many happy days and adventures. I wasn’t ready to say goodbye, but Heaven needed him more. I miss you Bubs and I can’t wait to see you again
