Nikolai and I first met at the Longmont Humane Society animal shelter in August 2011. He was 4 years old and as handsome as it gets and I instantly fell in love with his big paws and his lovely soft and fluffy coat! At first terribly shy, he grew to love people and wanted to be on everyone’s lap and would shower us with the most delightful purrs! He was also a true “gentle giant”. For almost 13 years, you were my loyal companion, greeting me at the door the second I would come home. Our home feels so quiet without you and you are most dearly missed!
