Our beloved boy, Nanook, was adopted by our family at the age of one in 2008. Sweet, loving, and so gentle from the very beginning, Nanook remained this way throughout his life. Not a moment went by when Nanook was around without extra pets and snuggles from him. When Nanook was young, he loved to jump the fence and ‘visit’ the elementary school across the street while his ‘kids’ were out at recess. We would frequently receive calls from the secretary at school that he had escaped once again. Nanook loved to dawdle on walks and sniff everything he could… he relished being outside on any new adventure. Our boy especially enjoyed steak, cheese filled hoofs, and pizza crusts! We would find his pizza crust treasures buried outside around the yard and occasionally down in the couch! As Nanook became older, he never wanted to slow down despite any discomfort for fear of missing out on something fun or an opportunity to be with his family. We will love and cherish Nanook forever.
