She didn’t listen. She wasn’t a huge snuggler. She was more of a Cuckoo than a Coco. But she had an important job with my Dad . As aging took away many of his memories, his love for this dog was strong and always in his mind. Love is something aging can never take away. Dad still asks me where Coco is. But what is wonderful is that I can sit with him and take him back to the day Dr. James was here. He took a sad day and with his warm words, genuine warm words, walked beside us as we said goodbye. I worried about my Dad after Coco was gone, but because saying goodbye was so beautiful, he is doing okay. The memories are there and they are good.
